Privacy policy

In force as of 16 September 2026.

This document says what we do with your data. It is short because there is not much to say.

The software collects nothing

Socle runs entirely on your device. Your income, your spending, your categories, your plans and your loans are encrypted locally with a password you choose.

This data is sent nowhere. There is no server to receive it, no online account, no automatic backup in a cloud. C&C Consulting has never held a copy and has no technical means of obtaining one.

As a result, C&C Consulting is not a data controller under the GDPR for the data you enter in the software: it determines neither the purposes nor the means of processing it, and has no access to it. You are the only one who holds it.

What the software writes on your device

What is stored Where Why
Your budget data, encrypted browser IndexedDB so it can be shown to you again next time you open the app
The list of local accounts — name, encryption settings IndexedDB so the account name can be shown before unlocking
The light or dark theme, the lock delay localStorage so your settings are remembered

None of this is a tracker. These records are strictly necessary for the service you asked for to work, and serve neither audience measurement nor advertising. On that basis they require no prior consent.

You can erase all of it at any time from the app's Settings, or by clearing your browser's site data.

The site collects the bare minimum

What we know about your visit

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc.. Like any hosting provider, it keeps technical logs containing, among other things, the IP address, the timestamp and the page requested, for security and operational purposes.

What we know about your purchase

The purchase is handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, merchant of record. Paddle collects the data needed for the sale: name, billing address, country, email address and payment details. We never see your payment card details.

C&C Consulting receives from Paddle what it needs for accounting and support: order reference, date, amount, country, email address.

Purpose Legal basis Retention period
Performing the sale and delivering the licence performance of the contract for the duration of the relationship
Accounting and tax obligations legal obligation 10 years
Answering support requests legitimate interest 3 years after the last exchange

If you write to us

Your message and your email address are kept for as long as it takes to deal with your request, then for three years. They are used for nothing else. We do not add you to any mailing list unless you expressly ask.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over the data we hold — that is, the order data and the support data, and nothing else.

To exercise them: support@socle.consulting. We reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, cnil.fr.

Transfers outside the European Union

The site's hosting provider (Netlify, Inc.) and the merchant of record (Paddle.com Market Ltd) may process data outside the European Union. These transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
